History of ISA-RMC
ISA is an educational and research society with over 15,000 members worldwide. Since 1924, ISA has been providing an excellent avenue for arborists to keep in touch with the latest professional growth that comes with ISA membership.
The International Society of Arboriculture-Rocky Mountain Chapter is at the forefront of urban, community, commercial and utility forestry in this area. The Chapter has gained recognition from the International Society for the quality of its local programs and newsletter, and commitment to improving the care and understanding of trees in the Rocky Mountain Region and promoting professionalism in arboriculture. The Chapter currently has over 700 members from a four-state region, including Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming, and is rapidly growing.
While arborists may join this international organization (total annual dues of $177), many prefer to limit their professional involvement to a regional basis by joining only the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ISA (total annual dues of $52). This type of affiliation offers the full benefits and privileges of chapter-sponsored programs, including special member rates and conferences and seminars and a subscription to Rocky Mountain Arborist, the Chapter quarterly publication.
